Simple Steps to create POI event rule
This post will guide you on how to create an event rule when vehicle enter/exit the location using the Point of Interest (POI).
Make sure you read this post before you proceed with the steps below. Read here.
Setup is almost the same with previous post for creating event rule using Geofence, read here.
1. Go to Admin –> Event Rules then click Add new event rule.
2. Select the users to which rule applies.
3. Choose the schedule.
4. Under Expressions, select the “Points Of Interest“. If you already have the Geofence event, you can combine the POI and Geofence event otherwise create a new event rule for all POI but for reporting purposes, it’s recommended to setup the event rule separately.
After selecting the “Points Of Interest”, it will show the POI category selection, action and radius threshold as shown below.
NOTE: If combining Geofence and POI at the same event rule, make sure you select “Match any”, it means that event will trigger when vehicle is either inside the POI or Geofence while “Match all”, means that event will trigger when vehicle is both inside POI AND Geofence, therefore, “Match all” is not applicable for this kind of setup, it can be use for other event rule application.
